NorthLink Newsletter - November 2011
Welcome to the NorthLink Ferries November newsletter! Although traditionally a quieter month on board our ships, November sees a lot of activity behind the scenes at NorthLink Ferries as we prepare for Christmas and the Dry dock period in early 2012.
The Family and Friends promotion also continues - Orkney and Shetland Islanders can nominate relations or friends to receive the same discount on ferry travel that they receive, by filling in the form found at http://www.northlinkferries.co.uk/family-and-friends-promotion.html This will issue an email to the nominated friends and family. By following the instructions found on the email, they can opt-in to receive a discount ID. The ID can be used to grant a 30% discount on travel between the dates of 1st September and 18th December 2011.
We are also pleased to announce that films showing in the cinema on the Aberdeen - Kirkwall - Lerwick service during November 2011 now include the blockbusting comedy Bridesmaids, the Steven Spielberg produced and JJ Abrams (Lost) directed Super 8 and top Pixar film Cars 2. Between 1st November 2011 and 31 December 2011, customers can buy a meal voucher for a super price at the time of booking their journey! For only £8.45, you receive a voucher which allows you to choose a main meal from our Island Fayre 'Hot Plate' menu and a pudding or a starter from our 'For Starters' or 'Tasty Treats' range. You can add meal vouchers to your own journey, or even add one as a treat when booking a journey for someone else returning home for Christmas. For those planning to travel with NorthLink Ferries during the festive period our Christmas timetable can now be found at http://www.northlinkferries.co.uk/ The dry-dock season will cover the two-month period from January 23 until March 26 when the three vessels MV Hamnavoe, MV Hrossey and MV Hjaltland, will each spend three weeks undergoing essential maintenance and inspection.
