The transfer of ferry operations from Kirkwall Pier to Hatston Terminal, scheduled to have taken place today (Saturday, October 19) will now take place on Monday, October 21.

For operational reasons it was decided to delay implementation of the change for 48 hours.

The company has also taken the opportunity to conduct a timetable review.

As from Monday (October 21) the “through services” (Aberdeen – Kirkwall – Lerwick and Lerwick – Kirkwall – Aberdeen) will have new Orkney arrival and departure times.

The northbound “through service” from Aberdeen is now scheduled to arrive at Hatston Terminal at 23.30 (previously 22.45) and depart for Lerwick at 00.30 (previously 23.45).

The new southbound “through service” arrival time in Orkney is also scheduled for 23.30 (previously 22.30) and the new departure time will be 00.30 (previously 23.30). This timetable will operate until further notice.

Temporary reservation and passenger check-in facilities have been provided at Hatston by Orkney Islands Council. Passengers should check in at Hatston from 22.30.
