NorthLink has raised more than £600 for Cancer Research UK (Scotland) by donating all breakfast takings from Friday, March 19 to the charity as part of its nationwide All Day Breakfast fundraising event.

The restaurants on-board all three of NorthLink’s passenger vessels - Hamnavoe, Hrossey and Hjaltland – offered special breakfast meal options throughout the day, featuring locally sourced ingredients, and raised £635 for the UK’s leading cancer charity.

Cancer research has been an issue close to the hearts of NorthLink staff and crew since Ingrid Rosie, a young member of Hamnavoe’s crew, died from the disease late last year.
