| NORTHLINK REOPENS EXCLUSIVE LOUNGE | |
| 06 June 2005 NorthLink has reopened the comfortable Hawkfall Lounge on-board MV Hamnavoe, offering passengers a quiet and peaceful area in which to enjoy the journey between Orkney and the mainland during the summer season. From 1 June 2005 until 22 October 2005, the lounge will be open on the 11.00 and 16.45 sailings from Stromness and the 13.15 and 19.00 sailings from Scrabster. The Hawkfall Lounge offers spectacular views of the scenery of Orkney and the Pentland Firth, in particular the Old Man of Hoy on the sailings from Stromness. Customers who pre-book entry to this private lounge will be offered a 10% discount on the £5.50 entrance fee. Payment for entry can also be made on-board, either at the main reception on deck five or in the lounge itself. Passengers choosing to use the Hawkfall Lounge will be offered a choice of international teas, continental coffee or hot chocolate with shortbread biscuits; orange juice or still/sparkling mineral water; as well as morning pastries or afternoon scones with cream and jam. A variety of popular magazines, daily newspapers and Orkney weekly newspapers will also be provided. A selection of superb main meals, showcasing local Orkney Island produce, will be served from the restaurant menu in the Hawkfall Lounge. These include Orkney Steak and Onion Pie, locally caught Battered Haddock and NorthLink’s Marinated Orkney Seafood Selection. NorthLink would like to thank the Stromness Ladies Lifeboat Guild, who donated the spectacular flowers for the lounge. | |
