HAMNAVOE BACK IN SERVICE
21 August 2010

The NorthLink ro-ro ferry MV Hamnavoe is back on station this morning (Sat 21st Aug) on the Pentland Firth after a mechanical fault meant that she was withdrawn from her Stromness - Scrabster route yesterday afternoon.

Engineers worked overnight in Stromness to replace the oil pump on her port engine and the vessel sailed for Scrabster with 292 passengers on board at 0900 this morning. She will now operate to timetable.

NorthLink would like to apologise to passengers who were inconvenienced by yesterday's curtailed service.
