'My family have lived in Shetland for years and all my life I have gone up every year, it is the most magical place in the world and everyone should go at least once.'

Harriet rated Shetland: FANTASTIC!

'I would say that the best time to visit Shetland is November or February as the weather is fantastic.'

'I have been to Lerwick twice last year and I am going over again this June. I am taking my girlfriend as she has not been before, but I have showed her the CD and PC ROM that I got of Lerwick so she is so excited about going.
The people over there are so laid back! Nothing bothers them and they are so very helpful when you need assistance in any way. The weather is so nice that when it’s time to leave I don’t want to go home.
I would rather stay there for longer (even for good if I could afford it).'

Ian rated Shetland: FANTASTIC!

'I stayed in Lerwick back in January for the Up Helly Aa fire festival - the people are extremely well mannered and helpful. I travelled to different locations throughout the island e.g. Walls, Toft, Yell, Sumburgh and Scalloway - all the bus drivers were very polite and very helpful and very sociable. Also, the Shetland recreational trust leisure centres were good yet again with obliging staff so if any of you lot are going to the island I will promise you will be made more than welcome.'

Sandy rated Shetland: FANTASTIC!

'I have visited the Shetland Islands for three times (2007, 2008, 2009) and I'll go again this May.
During my stays in the Islands I travelled to different places. All of them were unforgetable locations for me. I am not a driver. I am a walker. I use the public transport.
The people are very polite and helpful, the bus drivers too. They dropped me up on the right site, where it was best to begin walking.'
