NorthLink Ferries Ltd are delighted to offer to the group market * our most comprehensive range of services ever. Our most popular sailings are now available in combination with all necessary land arrangements. However if you prefer to organise the land side yourself the option to purchase only ferry services remain.

Whichever you choose, we strongly recommend that you book local guiding and itinerary planning services to ensure a memorable and smooth running tour.

NorthLink works in close cooperation with local suppliers to provide the best services at the most competitive prices. We offer prices for large groups travelling in coaches over 9m but will be pleased to provide quotations for smaller groups and vehicles on request.

Boarding

30 minutes check in time if we have your driver’s mobile. Our group check in facility provides for the driver or tour manager to check in all guests and collect all boarding passes/cabin keys and meal vouchers. Guests may remain in comfort on the coach until these have been distributed, then proceeding aboard without queuing.

Once aboard our staff welcome each group personally through an exclusive meet and greet session. Guests learn about the ship’s facilities, safety features and have an opportunity for questions.

We provide a reserved area with your group name to allow guests to enjoy lunch or dinner together. Dinner is 3 courses with the starter and dessert and coffee served and guests choosing main courses from the carvery; meat, fish and vegetarian options are always available. Unlike lunch & dinner, breakfast is self service. Drivers should distribute individual breakfast vouchers and breakfast description cards to allow guests to rise and eat at leisure before departing ship.

Our cabins

Each outer cabin offers two berths side by side, NOT as bunks, no clambering involved! Linen is white with continental quilts, en-suite facilities of Cabin accommodation on board NorthLink Ferries vesselspower shower, sink and vacuum flush toilet. Further features include a radio, internal telephone and, of course, a window with a sea view!

Inner cabins are as above but with two additional foldable berths above the two lower berths and no window. The foldable berths are positioned up against the wall and do not impede headroom when the cabin is occupied by two guests.

Drivers

We provide an option for drivers to travel free in our en-suite basic cabins which are situated to the stern of the ship. Upgrades are possible but charged. Drivers eat free on NorthLink when a corresponding group meal has also been booked. To help you comply with driver hours/regulations we can offer a drive on and drive off service for your coach. Please arrange at time of booking.

The Old Man of HoyCream Tea with the Old Man!

Available on our Scrabster – Stromness sailings on the Hamnavoe.

Relax in the privacy of the Hawksfall Lounge and enjoy a sumptuous cream tea (Hawkfall Lounge subject to availability).

Remain in the lounge for views of Orkney’s famous Old Man of Hoy and Britain’s highest vertical cliffs.
