We perhaps don't make enough of it, but the viewing lounge on board the NorthLink Ferries Aberdeen - Kirkwall - Lerwick ships gives access to the very latest cinema releases.

There are three films showing each evening on MV Hjaltland and MV Hrossey, with tickets currently at £4.95 for adults and £3.45 for children. The price includes headphones which plug into the recliner seats to give airline style high quality viewing from suspended LCD screens.

Screening schedules are updated every Monday morning on this page so you can always see what is going on. Tickets for the cinema can be bought at the shop on board.
