MV Hamnavoe Disruptions

A spokesperson for Serco NorthLink Ferries said: “We can confirm that the Hamnavoe has experienced a crank shaft failure to its main starboard engine. The vessel will undergo a full inspection this weekend, after which we will know the full extent of the damage. At this point we will be able to provide more information about on going alternative service arrangements.

“NorthLink Ferries apologises for any inconvenience caused and we will continue to work with other operators in order to minimise disruption and assist with the transport of our passengers.”
