Stuart Garrett, managing director of Serco NorthLink Ferries, said: “Our technical team worked overnight to fit the Starboard Main Engine vibration damper on the MV Hamnavoe. We will shortly be carrying out sea trials from Scrabster, with the intention of resuming full service tomorrow as originally planned.”

“Once again we apologise to customers for any inconvenience.”

NorthLink Ferries continues support of RSPB Scotland community programme

NorthLink Ferries has gifted funds to nature organisation RSPB Scotland, helping to support the charity’s ongoing education programme in Orkney. The donation of over £2,200, which was was raised from last year’s nature cruise on board passenger vessel MV Hamnavoe, will help fund RSPB Scotland’s community outreach programme, which delivers outdoor education to young people across the islands.
