Our menus feature a wide variety of meat, seafood and vegetarian options crafted around a selection of freshly-prepared local produce from the islands.
On the Scrabster to Stromness route, our restaurant is open all day with the menu varying according to sailing times. With six crossings each day, breakfast, lunch and evening meals can all be enjoyed on board.
On the Aberdeen to Shetland route, there is no need to rush off the ship when you arriving in Lerwick or Aberdeen first thing in the morning. While car drivers need to be up and ready to disembark their vehicle on docking, it is possible for other passengers to stay on board and for drivers to return after unloading. Breakfast is served until 0900 and passengers can stay on board until 0930.
Evening mealsDeparting from Aberdeen or Lerwick you can choose between our excellent self-service restaurant which is open on departure or, during the main season, choose a later meal in our à la carte dining room. Seating space in the a la carte restaurant is limited and we recommend that passengers book their table in advance - talk to our staff at time of reservation.

We pride ourselves on the high quality of food served in the self service restaurants on all three NorthLink Ferries. A full range of hot and cold meals or snacks, as well as a tempting selection of children's meals are available.
For passengers joining the ship at Kirkwall (Hatston) in Orkney, a range of snack items are available from the midships’ bar. While the restaurant remains closed for the late evening call at Kirkwall, teas, coffees, hot chocolate and a number of hot food items can be served on request.
