Sponsorship Recipients - Shetland
Arianne, Kira, Rebecca and Nina Fraser
The girls travel to the mainland to attend and compete in national equestrian events with their Shetland Ponies and at the same time access training and development opportunities which aren't available on the island. It gives them opportunities to compete at national level.

Dogs Against Drugs
The Dogs Against Drugs charity is a local community based and community led scheme, to help detect and deter illegal drugs from entering the northern isles. The dogs and their handlers travel to attend essential training to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the Drugs Dogs on the islands.
Shetland Folk Festival
The Shetland Folk Festival is the UK’s most northerly folk festival, held in the first weekend of May each year. The first festival was held in 1981, and has steadily grown over the years, now a prestigious event for performers, locals and visitors alike. NorthLink provided sponsorship for visiting artists and members travelling to the festival.

Bronagh Goodlad
Bronagh attends competitions at national / international level in Shetland pony racing, Shetland pony showing and carriage driving. In 2010, Bronagh was chosen to race at Olympia in December, by competing at Olympia, she helped raise money for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

Hannah Anderson
Hannah and her horse, Jared, compete in all types of equestrian events, the main being the Shetland Pony Grand National where they were lucky to secure a place at the Olympia International Horse show in London in December. Hannah has attended various shows on the mainland this year and is trying to get through to Olympia again.
