Find the latest information below about NorthLink Ferries arrivals, departures, and delays for the passenger and freight ships to and from Orkney and Shetland.

Please be aware of traffic delays due to roadworks on approach to Aberdeen City centre. Please ensure you allow plenty of time to arrive for check-in.

Early Disruption Warning to Customers
Present weather forecasts indicate the possibility of disruption to our services from Wednesday 21st January through to Saturday 24th January.
More detailed updates will follow daily as forecasts are updated.

Check-in opens 120 minutes prior to departure at Aberdeen and Lerwick and 90 minutes prior to departure at Hatston, Stromness and Scrabster.

Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure at all ports and if you have not checked in at least 30 minutes prior to departure you will not be allowed on board.

Car drivers are recommended to check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

  • Arrived in Stromness at 16:45
  • The next scheduled sailing will depart Stromness at 14:00 on the 22nd January sailing for Scrabster

  • The 06:30 sailing from Stromness and 08:45 sailings from Scrabster are now cancelled.
  • The 16:45 sailing from Stromness to Scrabster is expected to depart at the earlier time of 14:00. ETA in Scrabster is 15:30.
  • The 19:00 sailing from Scrabster to Stromness is expected to depart at the earlier time of 16:15. ETA in Stromness is 17:45.
