Early Disruption Warning to Customers
Present weather forecasts indicate the possibility of disruption to our services from Tuesday 24th March through to Thursday 26th March.
More detailed updates will follow daily as forecasts are updated.

Please be aware of traffic delays due to roadworks on approach to Aberdeen City centre. Please ensure you allow plenty of time to arrive for check-in.

Check-in opens 120 minutes prior to departure at Aberdeen and Lerwick and 90 minutes prior to departure at Hatston, Stromness and Scrabster.

Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure at all ports and if you have not checked in at least 30 minutes prior to departure you will not be allowed on board.

Car drivers are recommended to check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

Pentland Firth Arrivals and Departures

M.V Hamnavoe

  • Currently berthed in Stromness
  • The next scheduled sailing will depart Stromness at 18:45 sailing for Scrabster
  • Passenger and vehicle check-in opens at 17:15
  • Passenger and vehicle check-in is 18:15
  • All passengers are reminded to bring their booking reference numbers with them for check in.

  • Due to forecasted weather conditions, the AM sailings are now cancelled.
  • The PM sailings are to operate as follows:
  • The 16:45 sailing from Stromness to Scrabster will now depart at the later time of 18:45, ETA in Scrabster is 20:15.
  • The 19:00 sailing from Scrabster to Stromness will now depart at the later time of 21:00, ETA in Stromness is 22:30. 
  • All sailings may be subject to weather related delays.

Wednesday 25th

  • Due to forecasted weather conditions M.V Hamnavoe will now operate as follows:
  • The 06:30 sailing from Stromness to Scrabster will now depart at the later time of 08:00, ETA in Scrabster is 09:30.
  • The 08:45 sailing from Scrabster to Stromness will now depart at the later time of 10:15, ETA in Stromness is 11:45.
  • All PM sailings will operate to the scheduled timetable.
Aberdeen Arrivals and Departures

M.V Hrossey

  • M.V Hrossey arrived in Aberdeen at 07:20 and is scheduled to depart at 19:00 sailing for Lerwick.
  • Due to forecasted weather conditions, arrival in Lerwick may be subject to a delay of up to 1 hour.

Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) Arrivals and Departures

MV Hrossey

  • The next scheduled departure from Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) is the 23:45 sailing to Aberdeen on Wednesday 25th March.
