Early Disruption Warning to Customers
Present weather forecasts indicate the possibility of disruption to our services from Friday 24th January through to Tuesday 28th January.
More detailed updates will follow daily as forecasts are updated.

Check-in opens 120 minutes prior to departure at Aberdeen and Lerwick and 90 minutes prior to departure at Hatston, Stromness and Scrabster.

Check-in closes 30 minutes prior to departure at all ports and if you have not checked in at least 30 minutes prior to departure you will not be allowed on board.

Car drivers are recommended to check-in at least 1 hour prior to departure.

Pentland Firth Arrivals and Departures

MV Hamnavoe

  • Arrived in Stromness at 20:55
  • The next scheduled sailing will depart Stromness at 09:00 sailing for Scrabster
  • Passenger and vehicle check-in opens at 07:30
  • Passenger and vehicle check-in closes at 08:30
  • All passengers are reminded to bring their booking reference numbers with them for check-in.

Friday 24th January 

  • Due to forecasted adverse weather conditions, M.V Hamnavoe will now operate as follows

  • The 06:30 sailing from Stromness to Scrabster will now depart at the later time of 09:00, ETA in Scrabster 10:30
  • The 08:45 sailing from Scrabster to Stromness will now depart at the later time of 11:15, ETA in Stromness 12:45
  • The 16:45 sailing from Stromness to Scrabster will now depart at the earlier timer of 13:45, ETA in Scrabster 15:15
  • The 19:00 sailing from Scrabster to Stromness will now depart at the earlier time of 16:00, ETA in Stromness 17:30

Saturday 25th January

  • Due to forecasted adverse weather conditions, all AM sailings are under review with a high probability of cancellation. 
  • All PM sailings are currently under review. 
  • An update will follow tomorrow. 

Aberdeen Arrivals and Departures

  • M.V Hjaltland arrived in Aberdeen at 06:57 and departed at 16:46 sailing for Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) and Lerwick
  • M.V Hjaltland is scheduled to arrive in Kirkwall (Hatston Pier) at 23:00 and depart at 23:45 sailing for Lerwick.
