Notice to Vehicle Drivers

On MV Hjaltland and MV Hrossey (Aberdeen, Hatston and Lerwick)

• Please be aware of moving vehicles on the car deck and use caution when navigating in the vicinity of cargo securing chains and / or equipment
• Once parked on the vehicle deck, please leave your car in gear with the hand brake applied. Any towed items should also have brakes applied.
• Please disable any alarm system as the ship’s motion may activate it.
• The vehicle deck will be locked throughout the voyage.
• If you are travelling with a caravan or camper please ensure that gas cylinders are closed / isolated.

In the morning

• Only the driver needs to come down to the vehicle deck (when called) to remove their vehicle.  Passengers are welcome to stay onboard until 0800 (Aberdeen) and 0830 (Lerwick).
• Please be aware of moving vehicles on the car deck and use caution when navigating in the vicinity of cargo securing chains and / or equipment.
• Drivers wishing to return to the ship after moving their vehicles should go back into the passenger terminal, through the walkway and show their boarding card to security.
