Orkney Nature Festival Cruise
In order to meet any increased demand on the Pentland Firth, NorthLink Ferries have introduced additional sailings between Stromness and Scrabster on Sundays during May and June 2023. This is to maintain connectivity between the Scottish Mainland and the Orkney Islands.

Join this year’s Orkney Nature Festival Cruise on MV Hamnavoe.
NorthLink Ferries are delighted to announce the return of the Orkney Nature Festival Cruise on MV Hamnavoe. In previous years, this was the finale of the Orkney Nature Festival, but this year, the popular event has been deemed a superb way to kick off the week!
This year we’ll be circumnavigating the island of Hoy, sailing by the red sandstone cliffs, the Old Man of Hoy, lovely Rackwick beach, the Berry, Cantick Head Lighthouse, the Martello Towers and into Scapa Flow, gliding past Flotta and Graemsay.
Passengers will enjoy a fantastic day out with a nature commentary, a lite bite offering, prize draws and more.
- The Orkney Nature Cruise on MV Hamnavoe takes place on Sunday 14th May 2023, between 13:15 to 16:15.
- Check-in at the NorthLink Ferry terminal in Stromness is from 12:00 and closes at 12:45.
- Tickets cost £20 for adults, £15 for children, and free for infants.
