Below you can find single Islander fares, for residents of Orkney and Shetland, for passengers, cabins and domestic vehicles on NorthLink passenger ferries for 2026.
To access Islander fares, you will need an Islander ID. If you do not have one, please visit our Islander Registration page. For a reminder of your Islander ID and Password, please visit our Forgotten ID page.
Concessions: Senior citizens (aged 60 years +), those in full-time education and passengers with a disability receive a 10% discount on passenger and vehicle fares.
Following the Scottish Government’s announcement, from 24th March 2026, NorthLink Ferries will implement new Shetland and Orkney Islander fares. These will be available to registered NorthLink Islander ID holders.
The NorthLink Ferries booking system has been updated to reflect this pricing. If you have booked Islander travel from 24th March 2026, your booking will have a reduced fare. There is no need to do anything to secure the new Shetland and Orkney Islander fare.
Over the next few weeks, we will administer the lower fares, contacting the passengers impacted.
Please do not cancel your journey and rebook as you may lose the space you booked previously!

Passengers who are not residents of Shetland and Orkney must pay Standard Fares.
Please note: A return fare is double the price of a single fare. The driver is not included in the price of vehicles. Cabin prices are per room, not per person.
