Serco NorthLink Ferries has teamed up with bus operator, Stagecoach to provide a new service for ferry passengers.

As of this week (Monday, 14 October 2013), those on the Lerwick-Kirkwall-Aberdeen ferry will be greeted by the 727 JET Bus at the NorthLink Aberdeen Terminal, which will travel onto Aberdeen International Airport.

The cost will be £1 from NorthLink Ferry Terminal to Union Sq and £2.70 from NorthLink Ferry Terminal to Aberdeen Airport.

Stuart Garrett, Managing Director at Serco NorthLink Ferries, said: “We are delighted to announce this new service which will undoubtedly ease travelling for our passengers, particularly those going further afield.

“Stepping off the ferry straight onto another mode of transport proves extremely convenient for a proportion of our passengers who are increasingly looking for stress-free onward travel options.

“We would like to thank Stagecoach for their cooperation in securing this service and we look forward to a fruitful partnership.”
