Reduced ferry fares from Saturday 30th June 2018

Following a formal announcement from the Scottish Government on Thursday 28th June 2018, Serco NorthLink Ferries welcome news that reduced ferry fares will be applied to their services from Saturday 30th June 2018 on the following routes:
- Aberdeen to Lerwick
- Lerwick to Aberdeen
- Lerwick to Kirkwall
- Kirkwall to Lerwick
The NorthLink Ferries booking system and website have been updated so that the prices for passengers and vehicles on these routes from 30th June have these reduced fares implemented. Islander fares, concessionary rates, and Family and Friends will remain in place, offering a further discount on the new reduced ferry fares.
If you have made a booking with NorthLink Ferries for a journey that takes place on or after Saturday 30th June 2018, and is affected by these new lower prices; you will be issued with a credit. NorthLink Ferries are currently working through their database to calculate customer credits that are due.
The new prices will be applied to previously-made bookings, and credits will be issued to UK customers via cheque to the postal address that was supplied. International customers will be contacted by telephone. Please do not cancel your journey and rebook as you may lose the space you booked previously.
Please note; customers should only need to contact NorthLink Ferries to receive their credit by telephone if they have not been contacted by 28th July 2018.
