Cabin Outer Twin
A large window, providing natural light, gives a spacious feel to these cabins. They have two comfortable fixed beds, positioned side by side.
Cabin Inner Twin
Two-berth inside cabins sleep two in two comfortable beds. Please note these cabins are at a discounted rate due to their location on the vessel: at the bow or after end of the ship. This implies there will be a little more engine noise and vibration. Beds are positioned side by side for some of these cabins, and in others there is one lower fixed berth and one pull down bunk. This cabin does not have a window, however it does have an en-suite toilet and shower, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Inside 4-berth cabin
With two lower fixed berths and two pull down bunks accessed by a fitted ladder, these cabins are great for families and visitors travelling in groups. Please note – inside cabins do not have windows.
Cabin inner four with TV
A four-berth equipped with a TV means that you watch satellite television or plug in your games console for in-cabin entertainment. Please note – inside cabins do not have windows.
Purpose-built cabins for those with restricted mobility
These are two and three berth cabins, that are generally more spacious, with easy access doors, bed hoists, toilet and shower facilities and assistance alarms. There are only a limited number of these cabins on each ship so an early enquiry is recommended. Please note – these cabins do not have windows.
Cabin share scheme – buy a bed rather than a whole cabin
For those happy to share either an outside or inside cabin with other travellers of the same gender, booking a bed rather than a cabin is a low cost option. We simply ask that those choosing this option show consideration for their fellow travellers. Infants cannot be booked into shared cabins and we would request that those wishing to book young children into shared cabins show appropriate consideration to fellow cabin passengers.
If you want a good night’s sleep without the cost of your own cabin then try our new exclusive use sleeping pods. Costing £18, they come with a large table, adjustable lighting and a USB socket to charge your iPad or any other mobile device. The seat reclines back to allow you to lie and sleep without intruding on the space of the person behind. The price includes a pack with a blanket, pillow and eye mask as well as a token for a free shower in the facilities next door exclusively for those purchasing a Sleeping Pod. This pack is to be picked up from the ship’s Reception desk and we would appreciate it if you could return the pillow, blanket and any unused shower tokens.
For passengers choosing to travel without overnight accommodation, there are reclining chairs available – please book your seats with your travel. Blankets and pillows can be hired from the Northern Isles Shop on board, for £3 with a £5 deposit.
