The Aberdeen Christmas Classic event is a two day showcase of the best livestock in the country held at the ANM Thainstone Mart. This year it was held on Monday the 28th and Tuesday 29th of November and was sponsored by NorthLink Ferries.

NorthLink took a team of over 10 staff members to this event and it was a fantastic experience. It was a rare treat for us to ‘flock’ from the office and showcase to the local and further afield farmers just how well we look after their livestock while transporting them.

We brought our exhibition stand with us to the event which proved to be extremely popular with everyone who came through the door – it wasn’t easy to miss us! We were giving away lots of NorthLink Ferries goodies including caps, pens, key-rings and some shopping bags. Our Orkney Fudge also proved to be exceptionally popular especially amongst the Aberdeen & Northern Marts Staff!

Our competition to win a trip to either Orkney or Shetland with a car, cabin and meals included also gathered great interest. We had two winners over the two days – Leslie Cruickshank and Doreen Cowe. We look forward to welcoming them on-board in the near future!

Throughout the two days we even had various NorthLink employees presenting awards to the livestock, which was a real kick for us all!

The hospitality shown from the Aberdeen & Northern Marts group was outstanding. Here at NorthLink Ferries we were grateful for the opportunity to sponsor such a pivotal and vital event in the Scottish calendar.
