  • Wick Airport is located 23½ miles from the town. There is a regular air service to Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Scrabster by Bus

  • Rapsons operate local bus routes in the North of Scotland.
  • Stagecoach operate a regular coach service from Scrabster to Inverness.
  • Some services stop at the Ferry Terminal in Scrabster, while others stop 1½ miles from the Terminal, in the centre of Thurso.

  • Scotrail operate regular rail services from Thurso to Inverness and Wick.
  • Thurso Train Station is located about 2 miles from the terminal.
  • IMPORTANT: Train Passengers are advised to prebook Scrabster taxi travel for ferry connections due to the restricted bus timetable between Scrabster and Thurso

The railway station is located on Princess Street, Thurso, approx. 2½ miles from the NorthLink passenger terminal. Passengers travelling on the train should arrange their own transport to connect with the ferry.
