Bookings open for 2020 NorthLink sailings

Wednesday 30th October 2019

Serco NorthLink Ferries are now taking reservations for next year’s sailings.

NorthLink will be working with local organisations and VisitScotland to highlight the wide range of events taking place in the Northern Isles, from Up Helly Aa to the St Magnus International Festival.

The lifeline passenger and freight service, operated by Serco, will continue to operate up to three passenger sailings a day, on the MV Hamnavoe, from Scrabster to Stromness and nightly sailings, on the MV Hjaltland and MV Hrossey, from Aberdeen to Lerwick – with multiple sailings going via Kirkwall.

Regular timetabled freight services to both Shetland and Orkney will be provided by the MV Hildasay and MV Helliar throughout the new year.

Magnus Dixon, Marketing Manager at Serco NorthLink Ferries, said: “It’s no surprise that the Northern Isles continue to appear at the top of ‘best place to live’ surveys. They manage to combine vibrant communities with a relaxed pace of living, which is attracting an increasing number of visitors. There’s also something for everyone, from unique festivals to tranquil wild spaces.”

From today (Wednesday, 30th October 2019), customers can make 2020 bookings through www.northlinkferries.co.uk, on the NorthLink app available for IOS or Android, or by calling 08001114422 (free from UK landlines and mobiles).
