Lifeline ferry service introduces Love from Shetland soap range on board

A small family-run business from Shetland has been given a boost after partnering with NorthLink Ferries to stock its natural handmade soap range on board its passenger vessels.

Love from Shetland uses natural and local ingredients in all its products – including milk from the family’s very own goats – and from this week, the complimentary range will be available, from reception to passengers, who may require an alternative soap to what is already offered in the cabins on MV Hamnavoe, MV Hjaltland and MV Hrossey.

Seumas Campbell, Serco’s Customer Service Director at NorthLink Ferries, said: “NorthLink Ferries is always proud to support local businesses and suppliers and this new soap range will be a fantastic addition to our existing offering. Partnering with companies that value sustainability and conservation as much as we do is very important to us here at NorthLink Ferries.”

Esther Jeromson, founder of Love from Shetland, added: “As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on using the very best, responsibly-sourced ingredients in our products. Our soaps don’t include any palm oil and are made to our own recipes, using goats’ milk and oils such as Marula and Argan. It’s a great achievement that we will soon be able to see our products on offer on the ferries when we travel and we really hope that other passengers will enjoy them as much as we do.”

The Love from Shetland range will complement the existing products on board from the social enterprise; Shetland Soap Company. Produced in Lerwick, the Shetland Soap Company specialises in handmade soap and skincare products, with an emphasis on natural ingredients.
