The launch of Stromness From the Sea, an animated film from Stromness Primary school pupils

Stromness From the Sea – animation launch

On the 6th of May 2014 We welcomed on board the MV Hamnavoe P6 Stromness Primary school pupils, teachers, family, friends and others involved with the project for a viewing of a fantastic animated film called Stromness From the Sea, created by the pupils. It tells the story of Stromness and its relationship with the sea. We enjoyed watching the animation and unveiled a fantastic new visual on the back deck of the Hamnavoe (showing the highlights of the town) created by Iain Ashman, followed by a bite to eat for lunch.

Almost £80,000 is being awarded to Serco NorthLink Ferries and the National Autistic Society for plans that include the provision of Changing Places facilities on board vessels, as well as specialist equipment and staff training to help autistic passengers.
